* What is a DENIER?

DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make stockings and tights.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the sheerer and more transparent the stocking or tights. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker it is, and less skin is visible.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose, in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in autumn-winter.
