* What is a DENIER?

DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the sheerer and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker it is and the less visible the skin.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose, in 50 and 100 deniers, in which the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in autumn-winter.
