What is atrophic vaginitis?

Atrophic vaginitis is a disorder that consists of a thinning of the vaginal walls and a decrease in its lubrication. This results in greater vaginal dryness and inflammation.

It is basically caused by a decrease in oestrogen, which is the main female sex hormone, being a very common problem in menopausal women (50% of women with menopause suffer from vaginal atrophy), influencing both their sexual function and their quality of life. Symptoms can be experienced for years, as long as appropriate measures are not taken.

The reasons are diverse and can have their origin in small after-effects of infections, in atypical morphology, congenital malformations or, simply, in apprehension of penetration.

Vaginal atrophy is a more common problem than believed, affecting women of all ages, although with a higher incidence in women after childbirth or during breastfeeding. However, it is in menopausal women that the greatest number of cases are detected, affecting one in two.

Vaginismus is a vaginal constriction of the pelvic floor that causes discomfort, burning sensation, pain, problems with penetration, or a total inability to have sexual intercourse.

Vaginismus is a common cause of continuous sexual pain. It can affect women at all stages of life; even women who have had comfortable sex for years.

When a man tries to have sex with a woman, the muscle group of the pelvic floor goes into spasm and contracts, closing the entrance to the vagina, making sexual intercourse impossible and painful. This type of vaginismus makes penetration impossible.

In other cases of vaginismus, penetration may be possible, but the woman experiences periods of involuntary contraction that cause burning, discomfort, or pain.

Solution

The INTIMICHIC silicone dilator allows you to exercise and progressively dilate the vaginal canal. It also allows, thanks to small daily exercises, to lose the fear of penetration. It is composed of three perfectly ergonomically shaped elements of different sizes to palliate this disorder with its harmful effects on sexuality and psychological health in general.

INTIMICHIC DILATOR should be used with a water-based lubricant to facilitate exercises and at the same time lubricate and moisturise the vaginal mucosa.

How is INTIMICHIC DILATOR used?

First, apply a little water-based lubricant to the entrance of the vagina (about the volume of a chestnut) and gently massage for 2 or 3 minutes.

Then, take the smallest INTIMICHIC DILATOR element. Also apply lubricant to the tip in the same proportions.

Then, start to push to introduce it into the vagina gently and progressively. If you notice dryness, add more lubricant.

You can continue to exercise for 10 to 15 minutes by making small rocking movements. It is important to keep in mind that the contraction of the vaginal muscles is unfavourable, so if it occurs, the exercise should be stopped.

The goal is the relaxation of the vaginal area as well as the search for the pleasure that accompanies it, so the use of a very comfortable place to perform the exercises and the accompaniment of soft music are indicated.
